This is a repaired edit, it flows a bit more freely without abrupt cuts and is easier on the ears. High quality shows are difficult to come by and this is a prime example of one of the UK's greatest DJs.
During the 1970s Alan Freeman presented the Radio 1 Rock Show on Saturday afternoons, featuring heavy and progressive rock and a rundown of the current album chart, from 30 June 1973 to 26 August 1978.
The Saturday Rock Show was voted Best Radio Show by listeners 5 years running, and was then axed by new controller Derek Chinnery. 'Fluff' left the BBC to work for Capital Radio from 1979 to 1988.
