#23 BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS - Kingston Dub (Flac)

I obtained this some time ago from a specialist Marley site that no longer exists. It’s still one of my favourite Bob Marley & the Wailers collections. It contains dubs and versions from many rare Jamaican b-sides that were released on vinyl over 30 years ago and have surprisingly still not yet been made available on cd. There is a bit of crackle and pop from the vinyl on some sides but nothing too bad. This is roots rock reggae at it’s finest.

original notes

BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS - KINGSTON DUB (revision B)
Kingston dub is a collection of dubs, versions and instrumentals that were released on the Tuff Gong label in Jamaica, on 7inch & 12inch single b-sides between 1972 and 1983.  Bob was reluctant to release a Dub album because he felt it would be a distraction from the message and lyrics in his music. Fortunately versions and dubs were used on the b-sides of the group’s singles especially in Jamaica and with many being unavailable on cd this collection is being posted until they see an official release.
The source used was mainly Kazo's black vinyl series 3-01 to 4-01, thanks to him for making and sharing the efforts of his work to the public.
Originally compiled and uploaded in February 2011, this revision includes a few upgrades such as I Know version and Dub In Trenchtown. Revision B also has new artwork.
